Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 August 2026
These Terms of Service explain the rules that apply when you use the Fido’s Tasty Treats website or purchase goods from our online shop.
Please read these Terms together with our Shipping & Delivery Policy, Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy and Privacy Policy.
Nothing in these Terms limits or removes your statutory consumer rights.

Fido’s Tasty Treats is an independent, family-run dog treat shop selling natural dog treats, crafted products, bagged and packed treats, chews, treat boxes, letterbox packs, hampers and related products.
2. Using This Website
You may use this website only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
- use the website fraudulently or unlawfully;
- attempt to interfere with its security or normal operation;
- introduce viruses, malicious code or harmful material;
- use automated systems to collect website information without permission;
- copy or commercially reuse website content without permission.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, customers, Fido’s or another person.
3. Product Information
We aim to describe and photograph products accurately. Product descriptions should be read together with the current ingredients, composition, analytical constituents, additives, feeding information, pack size and safety guidance where supplied.
Fido’s natural range
Each treat in Fido’s natural range is one part of an animal with nothing else added. These products are single-ingredient, 100% natural, grain-free and additive-free.
Other Fido’s ranges
Crafted, bagged, packed, filled, coated and prepared products may contain several ingredients or additives. The description of our natural range does not apply automatically to every product sold by Fido’s.
Natural variation
Natural animal-part treats can vary in size, shape, colour, thickness, texture and weight. Reasonable natural variation is not necessarily a fault.
However, products must still match their description, be of satisfactory quality and comply with the customer’s legal rights.
Images and packaging
Product photographs are illustrative. Screen settings and natural variation can affect how colours and sizes appear.
Packaging, labels or supplier presentation may occasionally change. We will not knowingly supply a materially different product from the one described without explaining the difference where appropriate.
4. Treat Suitability and Safety
Dog treats and chews are intended for animal consumption or use as stated on the individual product.
No treat or chew is suitable for every dog. Customers should consider the individual dog’s:
- age and life stage;
- physical and mouth size;
- teeth and gums;
- chewing style and experience;
- normal diet and known restrictions;
- health history;
- tendency to gulp or swallow pieces.
Dogs must be supervised while eating treats or using chews. Fresh drinking water should be available, and small, sharp, damaged or unsuitable pieces should be removed.
Product information and help from Fido’s are general guidance only. They do not replace veterinary advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Ask your veterinary practice before introducing treats where a dog has a medical condition, suspected allergy, dental problem, repeated swallowing difficulty or prescribed diet.
5. Allergies and Dietary Restrictions
Customers are responsible for reading the current product composition and other label information before feeding.
A single-ingredient or single-protein product is not guaranteed to suit every dog with an allergy or food sensitivity.
Contact Fido’s before ordering if you need help locating ingredient information. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment unless a product is specifically and lawfully described that way.
Nothing in this section removes Fido’s responsibility where goods are faulty, unsafe, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
6. Placing an Order
When placing an order, you must provide complete and accurate information, including your name, email address, delivery address and payment details.
Please check the order carefully before payment. Shopify provides an opportunity to review and correct information during checkout.
An automated order confirmation acknowledges that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that we have accepted and can fulfil every item.
A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance, normally by sending a dispatch confirmation or otherwise confirming that the order is being fulfilled.
7. When We May Decline or Cancel an Order
We may reasonably decline or cancel an order where:
- a product is unavailable;
- the price or description contained an obvious error;
- payment cannot be authorised;
- we cannot deliver to the address supplied;
- we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or unlawful activity;
- the order breaches a purchase limit or promotional condition clearly shown before purchase;
- fulfilling the order would breach a legal or safety requirement.
We will explain the cancellation where reasonably possible and refund any payment taken for goods that will not be supplied.
We will not cancel an accepted order merely to charge a higher price.
8. Availability and Box Contents
All products are subject to availability.
Where a treat box, letterbox pack or hamper listing says that contents may vary or substitutions may occur, any replacement should be a reasonable alternative of comparable value.
Customers with ingredient restrictions should contact Fido’s before ordering a mixed selection. We will not knowingly ignore an ingredient restriction that we have agreed to accommodate.
If an appropriate substitution cannot be made, we may contact you, remove the unavailable item and refund its value, or cancel the affected part of the order.
9. Prices and Payment
Prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP).
The total price, delivery charge and any applicable discount will be shown before the order is submitted.
Payment must be authorised at checkout using one of the available payment methods.
We may change prices and promotions for future purchases. A later price change will not alter the agreed price of an order already accepted, except where there was an obvious pricing error that a reasonable customer would have recognised.
Optional products, services or delivery upgrades will not be added without the customer’s express agreement.
10. Discount Codes and Promotions
Promotional codes and offers are subject to any conditions displayed with them, including expiry dates, minimum order values, eligible products and limits on use.
Unless stated otherwise:
- only one discount code may be used per order;
- codes cannot be exchanged for cash;
- codes must be entered before payment;
- discounts cannot normally be added retrospectively;
- offers are available while qualifying stock remains.
We may withdraw or correct a promotion for future orders where it contains an error or is being misused. This will not unfairly remove a discount from an order already accepted.
11. Delivery
Delivery charges, areas and estimated times are explained in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
Read the Shipping & Delivery Policy →
Dispatch and postal times are estimates unless we have expressly agreed a guaranteed delivery date.
We remain responsible for goods until they are delivered to you, or to another person or safe place that you authorised.
If a delivery is lost, damaged or substantially delayed, contact Fido’s so we can investigate and provide the appropriate remedy.
Unless another period has been agreed, orders will be delivered within the period required by applicable consumer law.
12. Delivery Information Provided by the Customer
Customers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address.
Contact us immediately if you notice an error. We will try to correct it where the parcel has not already been dispatched, but changes may not be possible once it has entered the postal network.
This does not remove Fido’s responsibility where a delivery problem was caused by us or by the postal provider we arranged.
13. Collection
Shop collection may be available by prior arrangement.
Do not travel specifically to collect an online order until Fido’s has confirmed that it is ready.
Orders not collected within a reasonable agreed period may be cancelled and refunded, subject to any lawful deductions for genuinely personalised or perishable products where applicable.
14. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
Cancellation, return and refund rights are explained in our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy.
Some products may be legally exempt from ordinary change-of-mind cancellation rights, including certain rapidly perishable goods or sealed hygiene-sensitive products after opening.
These exceptions do not remove rights relating to goods that are faulty, unsafe, damaged, incorrect or not as described.
15. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods
Contact Fido’s promptly if an order is:
- faulty or unsafe;
- damaged during delivery;
- incorrect or incomplete;
- materially different from its description.
We may ask for the order number, photographs, packaging, batch number and best-before date so that we can investigate.
Depending on the circumstances and the customer’s rights, the remedy may include a replacement, missing item, refund, price reduction or another appropriate solution.
16. Our Responsibility
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- faulty, unsafe or misdescribed goods;
- any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Fido’s is responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for a loss that could not reasonably have been foreseen when the contract was made.
Products sold through the retail website are intended for personal consumer use. We are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue, opportunity or commercial interruption where a customer purchases principally for business purposes.
Customers remain responsible for following product instructions, choosing for the individual dog and supervising treats and chews. This does not remove Fido’s responsibility where a product itself is faulty or unsafe.
17. Website Availability
We try to keep the website accurate and available, but access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, technical problems, security work or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may change the website’s layout, ranges and content. Changes will not remove rights under an order or contract already agreed.
18. Intellectual Property
The Fido’s Tasty Treats name, logo, photographs, written content, graphics and original website materials belong to Fido’s or are used with permission.
They may not be copied, republished, sold, altered or used commercially without written permission, except where permitted by law.
19. Reviews and Customer Content
Where customers can submit reviews, photographs or other content, that material must be honest, lawful and based on a genuine experience.
Content must not be abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, misleading, fraudulent or infringe another person’s rights.
We may remove content where reasonably necessary to comply with the law, protect another person or maintain the website’s integrity. We will not suppress a genuine negative review merely because it is unfavourable.
20. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Shopify and other service providers may process information where necessary to operate the website, complete payments, fulfil orders, provide customer support and maintain security.
21. Third-Party Services and Links
The website may contain services or links provided by third parties, including payment providers, postal services, social networks and external information sources.
Third-party websites have their own terms and privacy notices. Fido’s is not responsible for the content or operation of an independent website that we do not control.
This does not remove any responsibility Fido’s has for service providers or delivery companies used to fulfil your order.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the website, business practices or legal requirements.
The updated date will be shown at the top of this policy.
Changes apply to future website use and orders placed after the updated Terms take effect. They will not retrospectively change an order or contract already agreed unless the customer expressly agrees or the law requires the change.
23. If Part of These Terms Cannot Be Enforced
If a court or other competent authority finds that one part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the remaining terms will continue to apply where legally possible.
24. Applicable Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom.
Customers retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply where they live. Nothing in these Terms prevents a customer from bringing a claim in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
Please contact Fido’s first if a problem arises. We will try to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.
